Thursday's fashion show in Downtown Syracuse showcased styles from local boutiques, accessory and clothing stores

Syracuse Style brought local retailers and fashion lovers together to showcase the hottest trends this season on Thursday night.

The Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc and Syracuse Fashion Week co-produced the seventh semi-annual fashion show despite the last minute change of venues from Armory Square’s Walton Street to the historic Landmark Theatre.

Ladies strutted their stuff for a fashion show at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que on Sunday.

Models diagnosed with cancer hit the catwalk at Reclamation Runway for Syracuse Fashion Week on Sunday at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que.

The idea was that models reclaimed the runway in clothes that made them feel good about themselves after they've gone through surgeries or treatments.

Syracuse Fashion Week kicked off with a Fashions at the Mansion show at the Barnes-Hiscock House on Wednesday night.

Local boutiques such as The Changing Room, Frameology Optical, Style Dots, FashionFix Designs and more were present at the event.

Models wearing wedding gowns and tuxedos strut their stuff down the runway at a bridal show on Sunday.

Music, dancing and laughter travel through the halls during a nontraditional bridal show on Sunday at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool. The brides-to-be in the audience whispered to their family members about the outfits that came down the runway. As comical male models danced to the beat of the music, whispers turned into giggles.

Locals gathered for a bite to eat, some light shopping and a fashion show Sunday morning to help raise awareness for ovarian cancer.

A handful of people decked out in teal (the color associated with ovarian cancer awareness) gathered for the sixth annual Breakfast at Tiffany’s Fashion Show and Brunch at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center on Sunday.

More than 315 people attended the event, including cancer survivors, supporters and volunteers. The event aimed to raise funds for cancer research and raise public and educational awareness on ovarian and breast cancer.

The Halloween spirit is in the air with Syracuse Fashion Week's third Snarl fashion show.

It’s not every day that a fashion show opens with little Danny Torrance wheeling down the runway on his iconic tricycle, only to be met by—you guessed it—those ghostly Grady twins and a most unsettling invitation to “come play.”

But this scene from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining did in fact unfold on a cobweb-covered catwalk in Syracuse’s historic Landmark Theatre on Saturday, for the third Syracuse Snarl fashion event.

“This is nothing like last year. It’s not hectic, there’s no yelling, it’s weirdly calm,” said one of the girls doing hair and makeup.

“Calm?” I think. Nothing about this is calm, at least not for me.

Backstage isn’t what I expected. It’s not actually behind the stage, rather there is a set of stairs that leads to a room directly underneath the stage. This is where the real show is.

A student-run fashion show displayed garments based on various traditional cultures with a modern twist.

On Friday, the Rip the Runway fashion show transported students from central New York to a cultural oasis. 

As the first model sliced through the red fog and stomped onto the catwalk, the audience fell silent. Bright colors poured out onto the runway as rhythmic drums pumped through the Goldstein Auditorium.
