Three EDM artists brought a 'euphoric vibe' to Westcott Theater's last show of the month.

It’s midterm time for students here in Syracuse, New York, and everyone’s stress levels are inevitably higher than necessary.

“What’s the best way to relax and jump-start the flow of those creative juices?” one may ask. Well obviously the right answer is … a concert on a Wednesday night!

Review: EDM dominated even before the popular duo took the stage.

Louis the Child was everything you'd hope for from a Westcott Theater concert. The dance floor was packed, people were dancing in small groups, Juuls were being passed around, the lights were blinding and the music was bumping.

As the electronic dance music industry grows, area college students and music lovers try to make their mark.

Attention. Control. Power.

That’s what music has given Danté Belmonte.

With hundreds of people crammed into a tight Westcott Theater, Belmonte commands the crowd alone from his DJ booth.

“I love having the spotlight on me,” Belmonte said. “When you’re playing at a venue that’s sold out with a thousand people, it’s something really cool.

Review: The indie-dance band returned to snowy Syracuse on Friday night to play The Westcott Theater.

Rubblebucket was met by an adoring mass of true Upstate New Yorkers, who don’t let slushy roads stop them from belting out a song about love and human birth. The members were apparently equally-adoring, telling the crowd, “You guys are so cool.”

The rapper rises above public self doubt to deliver fantastic and immersive hip-hop experience.

When Hopsin stepped onto the Westcott stage on Wednesday night, he knew he had something to prove.

The Los Angeles rapper took to Twitter on Feb. 17 with a rant about his frustration with fame, touring and “two faced” fans. “Don’t come to these shows,” he tweeted. “You are gonna get an auto pilot performance.”

Review: The Texas instrumental rock band delivered an energetic performance on Tuesday to a sold-out crowd.

The Westcott Theater had two firsts on Tuesday night: performances by post-rock instrumental band Explosions in the Sky and local psychedelic rock group Black Throat Wind. The two bands performed to a sold out theater, with an audience that largely consisted of teenagers and 20-somethings.

The Brooklyn-based rockers performed with Delicate Steve at the Westcott on Sunday April 14.

The audience was a curious mix of ages Sunday night at the Westcott Theater. Waiting to see the Brooklyn-based Dirty Projectors and opener Delicate Steve were the typical retinue of university students and 20-something locals as well as younger fans driven by, and at times attending with, their parents.

Review: The founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan rolled out the classics at Westcott Theatre on Friday.

“Keep it loud as f-ck. At least let me get some feedback.”

GZA’s duel over the iron mic with the inept sound engineer was a reoccurring theme throughout the night. The lack of response from the sound booth, though, was compensated with an electric human feedback comprised of a circuitry of hands forming the renowned Wu-symbol, hammering heads and feet pulsating to the rhythms of the hits of the night: Duel of The Iron Mic, 4th Chamber, Protect Ya Neck, and Reunited.
