This was the Orange's first ACC tournament win in four attempts.

BROOKLYN-It was a total team effort. All starters scored in double digits and the team shot a combined 54.8 percent across the field. Yet, it was the defensive effort that mattered most. Contrary to the last meeting between these teams—when failing to guard the 3-point line cost them the game—Syracuse held Wake Forest to 20.7 percent (6-29 FGA) from beyond the arc tonight.

This was the lowest scored goals by SU since 2002.

After last week’s 21-4 win against Binghamton, Syracuse had plenty of momentum to begin their 2018 season.

The University of Albany, SUNY eradicated any momentum that the Orange had coming into Saturday. The third-ranked Great Danes defeated the seventh-ranked Orange 15-3 for just their second win in program history over Syracuse.

Five Orange players scored double digits and forced 17 turnovers in the 81-63 win.

Eight days between games is the longest stretch that Syracuse has had this season. The Orange last played on Jan. 16, when they beat Pittsburgh 59-45 for their second ACC win of the season. This allowed the young team time to practice without interruption.

What they did in the last eight days paid off, as Syracuse ran away from Boston College, winning 81-63 against their ACC foes.

Frank Howard led Syracuse with 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists and five steals.

Syracuse men's basketball grabbed a much needed ACC win on Tuesday, pulling away from the Pittsburgh Panthers to win 59-45.

The Orange (13-5, 2-4 ACC) were riding a four-game losing streak, having lost four days ago in a double overtime game against Florida State. After making his opening three point shot, junior guard Frank Howard took control of the team.

Despite Howard’s 23, foul trouble and perimeter defense plagues Orange down the wire.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (8-6, 1-1 ACC) beat the Syracuse Orange (12-3, 1-1 ACC) 73-67 for the first time in series history. a 5-0 advantage Cuse held before tonight.

The Deacs bullied their way into the Orange zone early on and ultimately looked the bigger and tougher team all game long. An example of this was on the boards as Wake Forest outrebounded Syracuse 38-29.

SU starters score 64 of 68 points in ACC opener.

Syracuse basketball begin ACC play with a convincing 68-56 win over Virginia Tech.

The Orange (12-2, 1-0 ACC) welcomed the visiting Hokies (11-3, 0-1 ACC) to the Carrier Dome looking to win its first ACC opener since 2014-2015, when they beat Virgina Tech 68-66 in Blacksburg, Va.

This was the final non-ACC game for the Orange

Coming off a home loss to St. Bonaventure last Friday, Syracuse (11-2) bounced back to beat Eastern Michigan (8-4) 62-47 Wednesday night.

The Orange squared off against former Syracuse assistant coach Rob Murphy and the Eagles. The two teams last met Dec. 19, 2016, when the Orange won 105-57.

The Orange offense had a tough time attacking the 2-3 zone of Eastern Michigan early and trailed by seven before point guard Frank Howard knocked down his first from beyond the arc to shift momentum Syracuse’s way.

This is the third recruitment class under Coach Dino Babers.

Following three straight 4-8 seasons for Syracuse, 15 players put pen to paper and affirmed their desire to play under Coach Dino Babers and the Orange next season.

Utilizing a win over the defending national champion Clemson Tigers and the slogan "Orange is the New Fast," Babers and his staff went across the country trying to find the next wave of Syracuse football players.

SU is one of three undefeated ACC schools so far this season.

Following a tight overtime win over Stony Brook on Sunday, the Orange left no doubt of a win on Wednesday.

Syracuse (9-0) got an early lead over Colgate (4-5) and never looked back, winning 79-39. While the Orange lit up the scoreboard, it was the defensive effort that got the attention of head coach Quentin Hillsman.

The Orange's 72-63 win over the Connecticut Huskies was the second game of the 2017 Men's Jimmy V Classic.

NEW YORK—A redshirt freshman overshadowed in previous games came out of his shell Tuesday night.

After the game, forward Matthew Moyer couldn't remember if he had hit a jump shot in any of his previous seven starts for the Syracuse Orange (7-1). But in this game, his career-high 18 points and eight rebounds propelled Syracuse to a 72-63 win over former Big East rival Connecticut
