The 2017-2018 ACC men's basketball schedule released this week.

Breathe easy, Syracuse Orange basketball fans. The men's basketball schedule is released and predictions can begin to be made.

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the full slate of men's basketball games, including times for most games and broadcast channels. While the opponents were pre-determined, Jim Boeheim and his team will now know when the games will take place.

After long delay, the ACC portion of the season schedule was announced Tuesday.

 

The complete 2015-16 Syracuse Men's Basketball schedule was released on Tuesday. The 31-game schedule features 19 home games and 10 games that will be broadcast on ESPN.

This is the second-consecutive season an SU freshman has been one-and-done.

Syracuse forward Chris McCullough will declare for the 2015 NBA Draft, according to a report this morning by RealGM.com.

The 6-foot-10-inch freshman averaged 9.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game for the Orange this past season before tearing his ACL in January.

The N.C. State sharpshooter dealt with an ailing stomach, while Michigan State squeezed in a few laughs before the big game.

As Louisville and North Carolina State battled each other on the court, the Wolfpack’s Anthony “Cat” Barber and Louisville’s Terry Rozier were battling their own bodies. 

Both Barber and Rozier were significantly ill the night before and hours leading up to their clash in the East Regional semifinal at the Carrier Dome on Friday night. 

Barber, one of N.C. State’s potent backcourt shooters, showed violent symptoms of a stomach virus according to head coach Mark Gottfried.

Lundquist has been calling NCAA Tournament games for more than 30 years.

Verne Lundquist witnessed the legendary Iron Bowl in 2013 between Alabama and Auburn and famously narrated the rise to fame of an uncontrollable golfer in the 1996 comedy film “Happy Gilmore.” 

Still, the 74-year-old broadcaster said the excitement surrounding the NCAA Tournament beats all other scenes in sports.

Fans of all ages will be able to see each of the four teams competing at the Carrier Dome during Thursday's fan-friendly event.

Looking to be a part of this weekend's NCAA East Regional without having to break open your piggy bank?

Well then you're in luck.

On Thursday, practice for Friday's Sweet 16 games will be open with free admission at the Carrier Dome to all fans, including those without tickets to the rest of the "Madness." Gates open to the public at 11 a.m., with practices beginning at noon.

Each of the four teams competing (North Carolina State, Louisville, Michigan State and Oklahoma) will take the court for 50 minutes throughout the afternoon. The schedule is as follows:

Just one day after the NCAA levied significant sanctions against the Syracuse men's basketball program, the regular season came to a bitter end Saturday afternoon.

Rakeem Christmas scored 15 points and added 12 rebounds in his final game for SU, but it wasn't enough to keep N.C. State from handing the Orange a season-ending loss, 71-57.

In a release provided by Syracuse Athletics, SU men's basketball head coach Jim Boeheim released a statement Friday evening in response to NCAA sanctions placed on the program following an investigation into multiple off-court violations.

The final home game of the season features a number of key story lines.

Syracuse's home schedule for the 2014-15 season goes out with a bang tonight, as the Orange will battle No. 2 Virginia at the Carrier Dome at 7 p.m. The game can be seen on ESPN.

Although SU is already banned from postseason competiton, tonight's contest still features plenty of reasons to head to the Loud House or tune into "The Worldwide Leader." Here are a few things to watch for tonight:

The ban stems from violations initially reported to the NCAA in 2007.

Syracuse University has initiated a self-imposed post-season ban for the 2014-15 men’s basketball season as part of its case pending before the NCAA Committee on Infractions, according to a release by Syracuse Athletics on Wednesday afternoon.

The ban includes the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament and all other post-season tournaments, namely the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament and the National Invitational Tournament (NIT).
