With hundreds of people crammed into a tight Westcott Theater, Belmonte commands the crowd alone from his DJ booth.
“I love having the spotlight on me,” Belmonte said. “When you’re playing at a venue that’s sold out with a thousand people, it’s something really cool.

But eventually, University Union announced Juice Jam headliner Fetty Wap hadn't shown up, and instructed everybody at Skytop Field on South Campus to go home.

Before classes even began, new and returning students alike were counting down the days until Juice Jam 2016. With buses starting to take students to Skytop Field at 11 a.m. on Sunday, the day has finally come. Headliner Fetty Wap, a New Jersey rapper best known for his hit single “Trap Queen,” will take the stage with Monty alongside other performers including pop artist Tove Lo, DJ and producer Marshmello, rapper D.R.A.M., indie electronic artist Stephen, and rock artist LOLO.
Though the weather was undesirable, both performers and students jammed through for an unforgettable Sunday Funday at Juice Jam 2015.
Port-o-potties lined up: check. Temperature super chilly (oh, you mean a super freezing 61 degrees?) Check. Dark gray clouds in the sky, complimented with a drizzle here and there? Check, check.
Yes, the atmosphere came off a little sad and droopy before the 11th annual Juice Jam show Sunday. But that didn’t stop the event, nor mood of the students getting hyped for the acts of SNBRN, BØRNS, Matt and Kim, iLoveMakonnen, Oliver Heldens and Big Sean.

University Union announces the Sept. 7 concert also will include Tinashe, 3LAU, Ace Hood, Broods and MisterWives.
Update: Tickets are now available daily at the Dome's Gate E box office between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. They're $15 with an SU/ESF student, faculty or staff ID. No online tickets will be sold.
After more than a month of built-up buzz on Facebook and Twitter, University Union unveiled the Juice Jam 2014 lineup tonight.
Students pulled out all the stops at this year's Juice Jam. From leopard to neon to denim on denim, the music festival gave students an excuse to show off this season's biggest trends while rocking out to their favorite bands.
While New York Fashion Week was finishing up in NYC, an important day in fashion was happening here in Central New York, as Syracuse students dressed in their festival-finest for the annual back-to-school Juice Jam Festival Sunday at Skytop Field.
