A New York Times reporter will interview the activist celebrity and activist at Goldstein Auditorium on April 5.
Comedian, author and activist Chelsea Handler will speak at Goldstein Auditorium as part of the “Get With The Times” series, a provocative live conversation series for college students. Hosted by The New York Times, in collaboration with University Union, this event will be at 8 p.m. on April 5 and broadcast live to watch parties at college campuses across the country.

On the night of Nov. 11, the walls of the Goldstein Auditorium shook, leaking dance and electronic music into the streets of Syracuse. University Union, a Syracuse University student organization, had outdone themselves organizing the 2017 Bandersnatch Concert Series. The headliner was Mura Masa, a European artist whose music lies between the genres of electropop and nu-disco.

Students gathered in Goldstein Auditorium Saturday night for Greek Freak, headlined by GoldLink. The show also featured Shy Glizzy, now known as Jefe, and Kranium.

Yet, short and simple is how to describe 21 Savage’s performance in Goldstein Auditorium for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity’s State of Emergency concert. 21 Savage performed music from his recent collection, and although his music has earned him a huge fan base, his performance falls short. The rising artist seemed like he was there to play a few songs and get off the stage as he barely interacted with his audience, failing to produce the hype the fraternity’s previous concerts brought.

This event traditionally honors women in mainstream media who have made a significant contribution to empowering other women, and this year’s event focused on sexual violence, victim blaming, slut shaming and sex negativity.
