The YouTube sensation entertained students in Goldstein Auditorium Tuesday night with his smart, shameless style.

Slouched over his keyboard like the Peanuts’ resident pianist Schroeder, Bo Burnham’s shaggy, blond hair shakes to the rhythm as he pounds the keys and belts his original ballad, “Love is.”

“I want you, yea, like JFK wa-aa-nted a car with a roof.”

Every year, several hundred students mark the start of the Chinese New Year with cultural events, performances, and a dinner held in Goldstein Auditorium.

Several hundred members of the Syracuse community gathered in Schine Student Center Friday Feb. 4 to celebrate the beginning of the Chinese New Year.

The Spring Gala, sponsored by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA), brought together SU faculty and students along with members of the local community to engage in Chinese traditions. CSSA celebrated the beginning of Chinese New Year, and a new year in raising cultural awareness on campus, by hosting a dinner with performances by Chinese student groups.

Review: The Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, one of the world's foremost modern dance troupes, took center stage at the Goldstein Auditorium.

The audience waited with bated breath as the auditorium turned dark. With a flood of patterned blue and purple lights, the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company began to weave magic on the stage with “North Star,” the first performance of the night. The New York City based modern dance company performed on Nov. 11, at the Goldstein Auditorium.

Stand-up comedian and star of "My Wife and Kids," Damon Wayans, is coming to Syracuse University to perform for homecoming weekend

This year’s Orange Central events will include a comedy show performance by stand-up comedian and television star, Damon Wayans.

The homecoming weekend concert will take place Oct. 16 in the Goldstein Auditorium in the Schine Student Center. The event starts at 8 p.m., but Wayne will kick-off the night at 7 p.m. with a pre-comedy show.

Wayans is well known for his successful comedy show, “In Living Color,” the sitcom, “My Wife and Kids” and a string of movies including, “Major Payne” and “The Last Boy Scout.”

The Grammy-winning R&B singer shares advice on college, pursuing dreams and love.

On an evening when the audience didn't know if they would get a lecture or a concert, soul sensation John Legend took the stage with a soulful cover of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song."


Almost 1,400 students attended Legend’s performance Wednesday night in Goldstein Auditorium. The evening included questions and answers from the audience, a few of Legend's hits, and an inspirational speech.

About 1,000 students and locals pack Goldstein Auditorium to hear the Vice President discuss college affordability.

At 10:35 a.m., an official looking man came to the podium, rattled around some papers, and walked off. The crowd quieted down and the jazz music coming from the speakers of Goldstein Auditorium became audible. Realizing that the scheduled program was only five minutes behind schedule, the chit-chat in the room resumed.

The Vice President of the United States is allowed to be late.
