It was a mod, mod world on Thursday for Syracuse Fashion Week. Set in the city’s Tech Garden, models paraded the runway, encompassing a different personality with every ensemble. Empire Brewery joined the crowd and coupled hors d'oeuvres with the event’s signature beer, “Runway Rose.”
The Cheryl G Collection was vibrant. Her designs varied in textures and with colors that consumed the senses with every model that walked by. Fayetteville’s L.L. Bean brought in bright checkered shirts, transforming the classic khaki bottom effortlessly. It was anyone’s guess that Boom Babies would storm the runway with a series of galactic, black-and-white striped dresses and asymmetrical crop tops all adorned by models wearing pink, blue and green wigs.
In a show of force, BETTER. Skate Shop distorted order on the runway with both models and attire. The collection combined slick, comfortable and chic streetwear, inviting guests from every corner to get a closer look and awe.
The night saw diversity in talent, guests and style. The modern, the edgy, and the classic were seamlessly morphed.
This show is one of a few lined up for Syracuse Fashion Week this week.
