Gap goes back to the 90s

Classic American clothing brand Gap is throwing it back with their new revamp of 90s styles.

On Tuesday, the American clothing brand Gap launched their new limited-edition collection. However, it’s not exactly new designs that have people talking. Instead, Gap released their “90’s Archive Re-Issue.” The collection features iconic styles from the ‘90’s for both men and women. The styles include the Bodysuit, Reverse Fit and Easy Fit Denim, Pleated Khakis and the timeless Pocket Tee.

In honor of the collection’s launch and Gap’s attempt to return to their brand origins, the brand collaborated with director Kevin Calero to create the ad campaign “Generation Gap,” a mini film inspired by the brand’s 90s commercials.

“Generation Gap” features a long list of second generation celebrities in order to celebrate Gap’s new generation. Some of the ad appearances include DJ TJ Mizell (son of Jam Master Jay of Run DMC), actor Evan Ross (son of Diana Ross), singer Chelsea Tyler (daughter of Steven Tyler), and singer Rumer Willis (daughter of Demi Moore), just to name a few.

The brand was founded in San Francisco in 1969 and Gap’s collections are designed to "build the foundation of modern wardrobes – all things denim, classic white shirts, khakis and must-have trends," according to their website. The 90s collection is available for purchase now on their website and in stores.
