Nike released seven new Hyper Elite Dominance uniforms Thursday, including a throwback Syracuse uniform.

Syracuse may have joined the ACC this year, but they'll be wearing uniforms from the early Big East years.

Nike released seven new uniforms as part of the company's Hyper Elite Dominance series in a press release Thursday. Syracuse joins Michigan State, Kentucky, Ohio State, Duke, Oregon and North Carolina as the only teams to don these uniforms this season.

Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas does not have to serve jail time for a felony gun charge, says ESPN.com. Judge Robert E. Morin says Arenas has to serve 30 days in a halfway house and register as a gun offender.

He was also sentenced to two years of probation, he must do 400 hours of community service, and he has to give $5,000 to victims of the violent crimes fund.

The 2010 NCAA East Regional semifinals took place in the Carrier Dome Thursday night, schools from border state Kentucky and West Virginia advancing to Saturday’s final.

A hot shooter, a big ceremony and past history swirled around Syracuse Saturday afternoon, and the No. 1 Orange lost at Louisville, 78-68, in the regular season finale for both teams.

The perfect storm brewed in Kentucky and swept away the Orange on Saturday afternoon.

Led by a scintillating second-half shooting performance from reserve guard Kyle Kuric, unranked Louisville defeated top-ranked Syracuse for the second time in three weeks. A 78-68 victory in the final game ever at historic Freedom Hall gave the Cardinals (20-11, 11-7 Big East) a No. 6 seed in the upcoming Big East Tournament.

Syracuse (28-3, 15-3) is still locked in as the top seed in the Big East Tournament and assured of a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
