The death of a pet once left owners to suffer in silence, but with a new understanding of a pet’s role in society, efforts are being made to recognize their grief and help them cope.

A Cornell University veterinary student rolls up the sleeves of her black fleece half-zip embossed with the school’s logo, and shoves her blonde hair into a lazy ponytail. She misses a lock of hair, but there’s no time to fix it. There is a call she has to take. She stretches out her thumb and pinky, and brings her imaginary phone to her ears. “You’ve reached the Pet Loss Support Hotline. What can I help you with today?” she says. “I’ve been having a really difficult time since my dog Sparky died from lung cancer last week,” says her caller. “I’ve been having trouble getting out of bed.

Review: Trevor Noah was unafraid of controversy during his stand-up set at Cornell University Sunday night.

Trevor Noah took the stage at Cornell University’s Barton Hall Sunday evening to perform an hour of stand-up comedy. Noah, who is cursed to be forever known as Jon Stewart’s replacement on "The Daily Show," drew a crowd of 4,800 people, most of whom were students.

A prestigious recognition listed SU as a top-tier research university — however, research faculty members and graduate students already saw the school as one.

Back in February, Syracuse University media created a small explosion of excitement when the school received an award for its level of research excellence.

Several environmental conservation organizations, including the NYS DEC, have collaborated in a yearlong project tracking moose populations in upstate NY.

After months of tracking moose movements across Adirondack Park through collaring and collecting reported sightings, data from the Adirondack Moose Project’s second winter will be analyzed by late March.

During the first moose collaring back in January 2015, 12 moose were fitted with collars containing GPS transmitters that pinpointed their location every two hours. The GPS collars track habitat use and calf survival and health.

Cornell students put down their homework to turn up for the last event in a weekend-long celebration.

A group of boys, still dressed in Cornell apparel and decorated with red face paint from the afternoon football game, sat in a circle playing cards on the brick sidewalk outside of Barton Hall at Cornell University. Behind them, a growing number of students lined up, all hoping for the chance to snag a ticket when the concert doors opened at 7 p.m.

While no team scores were kept and few upperclass raced, some of SU's younger runners showed off their skills at the John Reif Memorial race at Cornell University.

The Syracuse cross country team ran its last regular season race on Friday at the John Reif Memorial at Cornell University, the last meet before the ACC Championship next weekend.

The rapper who recently bailed on the One World Concert is scheduled for another college show.

Nas was one of the most anticipated acts set to play the One World Concert at Syracuse University on October 9. Unfortunately, the artist was a no-show.

There was no explanation given for his absense, but there was an abundance of feedback on social media following the show. Fans were not pleased.
