A Syracuse student studying abroad captured responses from Italians following the initial shock of Donald Trump's presidential victory.

The outcome of the 2016 presidential election on Nov. 9 spewed a thick wave of disappointment and resentment across Syracuse University’s Florence campus. However, more than a month has passed and students are feeling a bit more optimistic than when the news first broke. 

“I’ve been more and more accepting that this is the reality we are going to face for the next four years,” said Josh Leiner, a history junior from Bates College studying with SU’s Abroad program.

Another year is drawing to a close, and another season of TV is coming to an end. Here is a list of TV shows that should be binged-watched immediately.

As another year winds down, it’s time to reflect. What New Year’s resolutions did we stick to? How did we better ourselves? What amazing memories did we make?

But most importantly, what television came into our lives and made a difference?

A few new shows solidified their standings in my heart and made it to my list of the most binge-worthy TV of 2014.

The New York senator detailed an agenda to help women in the workplace and expand the middle class.

New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand spoke about strengthening women’s rights in the workplace in a policy speech at The Maxwell School on Friday.

“The key to creating a growing economy and to building a middle class that can thrive in this century are women,” Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) said. “Without a doubt, given a fair shot, women will ignite our economy and lead our middle class revival.”
