Michelle Singletary, a Washington Post columnist, will speak at the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3 Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Singletary's Pulitzer Prize-nominated column, The Color of Money, runs in more than 120 newspapers. In her column Singletary gives readers advice on personal finance, saving and investing.
Singletary hosts her own show on TV One, Singletary Says, in which she visits viewers to help them resolve their money problems. She also contributes to the NPR program Day to Day.
She is also the author of 7 Money Mantras for a Richer Life: How to Live Well With the Money You Have, Your Money and Your Man: How You and Prince Charming Can Spend Well and Live Rich and The Power to Prosper: 21 Days to Financial Freedom. A reception and book signing will follow Singletary's talk. The event is free and open to the public.
