"School Daze" dazzles

Supermodel and Syracuse University alumna, Emme, headlines the eighth annual fashion and beauty communications milestone fashion show.

The Syracuse University Fashion and Beauty Communications Milestone students put on their fashion show, “School Daze: Fashion and Education,” at 7 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium on Friday, April 10. Supermodel Emme, an SU alumna, headlined the event with a passionate speech addressing the need to include average-sized women in the fashion industry.

The show was broken into eight short segments. These included an exploration of school uniforms, looks at history where youth rebelled against the status quo, movie outfits that prompted fashion movements, and a showcase of original clothing for sizes 12+ created by fashion design students. The high-energy show also featured performances by the Syracuse University Marching Band and DanceWorks.
