Syracuse women’s soccer had their last home game Sunday afternoon at SU Soccer Stadium, where they were defeated by No. 4 Duke Blue Devils 2-0.

The Orange tried to play some balls up front, but Duke’s defense kept standing them up.

Syracuse men’s soccer team lost 2-1 in disappointing fashion against a physical Clemson Tigers. In their final home game of the season, a frigid SU soccer stadium provided the battleground for a hard fought defeat that had 33 combined fouls throughout.

Women's soccer hold ACC rival to scoreless tie

This was the final game of the team's six-game home stand.

The Syracuse women’s soccer team ground out a hard earned 0-0 tie against Clemson on Sunday at SU Soccer Stadium. The point marks the Orange’s first in the ACC this season.

Despite the scoreline, the game was full of goalmouth action with 25 shots combined and 10 shots on goal, five for each team.

“In the ACC, you get fewer opportunities. We know that,” Syracuse head coach Phil Wheddon said. “We’ve got to make them count.”

SU tops Panthers, 4-0, to advance to conference quarterfinals

The Syracuse men’s soccer team advanced to the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament with a 4-0 win over the Pittsburgh Panthers on Tuesday night, delivering a dominate offensive performance and setting up a rematch with No. 6 Clemson.

The game reflected the contrast in seasons, as No. 7 Syracuse finished the regular season 10-3-3 overall and 3-2-3 in conference, just missing out on a first round bye. Pittsburgh finished last in the ACC regular season standings with no conference wins and a 2-12-3 overall record.

The No. 6 Syracuse Orange men’s soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with the No. 2 Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Friday night, its last regular season game before the start of the ACC tournament next week.
