Football non-conference schedule complete

Head Coach Doug Marrone confirmed the final SU schedule for next season with a press conference Friday morning

The Syracuse 2012 football schedule is one step closer to being complete.

On Friday head coach Doug Marrone held a press conference to announce that the Orange's final non-conference opponent for next season will be Missouri (SEC). The game will be played in Columbia, Mo. and completes a non-conference slate that includes homes games against Stony Brook (FCS) and Northwestern (Big Ten), an away game against Minnesota (Big Ten), and a neutral-site game against USC (Pac-12) in the New York's College Classic at MetLife Stadium.

The state of SU's schedule is still in flux because they currently have only six conference games. West Virginia will play in the Big 12 and the Big East has yet to announce its plans for what the teams will do for their seventh conference game.

The Post-Standard has also reported that senior wide receiver Marcus Sales will rejoin the team for spring practice and sophomore quaterback Terrel Hunt has been indefinitely suspended.
