A New York Times reporter will interview the activist celebrity and activist at Goldstein Auditorium on April 5.

Comedian, author and activist Chelsea Handler will speak at Goldstein Auditorium as part of the “Get With The Times” series, a provocative live conversation series for college students. Hosted by The New York Times, in collaboration with University Union, this event will be at 8 p.m. on April 5 and broadcast live to watch parties at college campuses across the country.

The Spring Spectacular included 19 performances in a range of different styles including hip-hop and contemporary dance.

Syracuse University DanceWorks put on the first of two showings of its 2018 Spring Spectacular showcase in Goldstein Auditorium Friday night.

The performance featured two acts and 19 separate numbers in a range of styles including hip-hop, tap, lyrical and contemporary dance. Founded in 1986, DanceWorks is a fully student-run organization at SU that puts on two showcases throughout the year, among other community performances.

Comedian, writer and actress Jenny Slate will be headlining University Union’s Spring Comedy Show Feb. 9 at 8:00 p.m. Stand-up comedian and actress Aparna Nancherla will be opening the show.

The concert featured two opening acts before the EDM artist took the stage

On the night of Nov. 11, the walls of the Goldstein Auditorium shook, leaking dance and electronic music into the streets of Syracuse. University Union, a Syracuse University student organization, had outdone themselves organizing the 2017 Bandersnatch Concert Series. The headliner was Mura Masa, a European artist whose music lies between the genres of electropop and nu-disco.

Students gathered in Goldstein Auditorium Saturday night for Greek Freak, headlined by GoldLink. The show also featured Shy Glizzy, now known as Jefe, and Kranium. 

The show was originally supposed to take place in September, with Meek Mill as the headliner. First, it was pushed back to November, and then Meek Mill was replaced as the headliner.

Review: 'The Daily Show' correspondent discusses being a Muslim in Trump's America.

Comedian and Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj spoke before a sold-out crowd in the Goldstein Auditorium Friday evening. Minhaj, who made national news when he hosted the first White House Correspondents' Dinner of the Trump era, spoke at length about the place that Muslims hold in American culture before taking questions from Osamah F. Khalil, an associate professor of history, as well as from students.

The former CNN and NBC anchor described her crusade to portray minorities in a positive light during her speech.

Thursday evening, Syracuse University’s Coming Back Together event hosted a former CNN and NBC anchor and Harvard graduate to kick off this year’s University Lecture Series. Soledad O’Brien led a lecture focusing on the power of storytelling.

As jazz music piped through the room, current students and alumni alike trickled into Schine Student Center’s Goldstein Auditorium. Chatter, laughter and the sound of flash going off created a hum of anticipation before O’Brien took the stage.

On Sunday, April 23, the SU Ballroom Team collaborated with local guest artists and professionals to present the first-ever Syracuse Ballroom Showcase.

On Sunday night, the Syracuse Ballroom Dance Team and the local USA Dance chapter teamed up to present the first-ever Syracuse Ballroom Showcase in Goldstein Auditorium.

The night commenced with a 45-minute show, featuring ten differently styled dances from swing and cha-cha to waltz and tango. In addition to the SU Ballroom Team, dancers from the community, a couple from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and national championship-winning dancers participated in the event.

Review: The "X" hitmaker headlined Phi Beta Sigma's State of Emergency concert alongside Nebu Kiniza.

For the price of $10, I saw 21 Savage. Yet, short and simple is how to describe 21 Savage’s performance in Goldstein Auditorium for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity’s State of Emergency concert. 21 Savage performed music from his recent collection, and although his music has earned him a huge fan base, his performance falls short. The rising artist seemed like he was there to play a few songs and get off the stage as he barely interacted with his audience, failing to produce the hype the fraternity’s previous concerts brought.

Amber Rose discussed empowerment and body positivity at the Women of Distinction ceremony this week.

In the Goldstein Auditorium on Wednesday, the Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. hosted Women of Distinction 2016 with a single honoree: Amber Rose. This event traditionally honors women in mainstream media who have made a significant contribution to empowering other women, and this year’s event focused on sexual violence, victim blaming, slut shaming and sex negativity.
