Jim Boeheim has seen a rash of players depart SU early in recent years, but play with minimal success in the professional ranks.

While numerous star players have come and gone, one thing at Syracuse University has remained constant: head coach Jim Boeheim.

Boeheim walked onto SU's campus as a freshman in 1963 and has been there ever since. In his candid autobiography, Bleeding Orange: Fifty Years of Blind Referees, Screaming Fans, Beasts of the East, and Syracuse Basketball, the 39-year head coach reflects on his time at Syracuse and the game he loves.

Syracuse and its former Big East rival will square off on Dec. 6.

Syracuse has added another opponent to its 2014-15 schedule, and the name is one very familiar to Orange fans.

SU will welcome former conference foe St. John's to the Carrier Dome on Dec. 6 in the second contest of a home-and-home series announced last year, according to a release from Syracuse Athletics. The meeting will be the 89th overall between the two squads.

The long-time Big East foes have agreed to a four-year, home-and-home series starting in 2015-16.

On Feb. 23, 2013, more than 35,000 fans packed the Carrier Dome to see Georgetown invade Jim Boeheim Court for one final time in Big East play.

But apparently not even conference realignment can keep the Orange and Hoyas apart.

C.J. Fair will be the go-to guy for the Orange this season, but basketball beat writers Tom Rende, Tyler Greenawalt and Joe Diglio pick who will be the Orange's second option on offense.

C.J. Fair is recieving praise even before the regular season starts. He's already been named the ACC Preseason Player of the Year and looks to build on a stellar junior season where he averaged 14.5 points per game and 7 rebounds per game. Fair will get his stats, but who will become the Orange's number two man in the team's first season in the ACC?

Tom's pick: Grant is Robin to Fair’s Batman

Although he played long before the Orange joined the ACC, legendary running back Floyd Little was inducted into the 2013 ACC Class of Legends.

Dubbing Floyd Little an ACC legend might be a bit of an awkward fit — the Orange have yet to play a single football game in the conference, after all — but odds are good that no one will mind giving one more trophy and standing ovation to No. 44.

Little, along with 13 others, was named to the 2013 Class of Legends by the ACC this afternoon. The group will be honored at the ACC Championship Game at a dinner on Dec. 6 and on the field in Charlotte on Dec. 7.
