Comedian, writer and actress Jenny Slate will be headlining University Union’s Spring Comedy Show Feb. 9 at 8:00 p.m. Stand-up comedian and actress Aparna Nancherla will be opening the show.
Jenny Slate is best known for her Critics Choice Award winning roles in Obvious Child and Gifted. Her other appearances include Saturday Night Live, Parks and Rec, Girls, House of Lies, as well as the lead for films Landline and Despicable Me 3. Jenny is also the writer and star of the popular YouTube production and children’s book Marcel The Shell with Shoes On. Her stand-up show Big Terrific co-hosted with Gabe Liedman and Max Silvestri won Best Variety Show by TimeOut New York.
Aparna Nancherla regularly appears on Comedy Centrals Corporate, and will appear on season two of HBO’s CRASHING and Netflix’s The Standups. Her film debut will be in the upcoming Paul Feig movie, “A Simple Favor.” Aparna frequently writes for FX’s Totally Biased with W.
Tickets for Jenny Slate and Aparna Nancherla can be purchased beginning Jan. 22 at 9:00 a.m. They will be sold at the box office in Schine Student Center, and will be $5 for students, $10 for faculty and staff, and $15 for the public. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.
