The Syracuse University Pride Union held the 11th annual Totally Fabulous Drag Show Finals on Friday in Goldstein Auditorium, which allowed students to dress in drag and celebrate drag culture.

The show started off with a bang as former contestant of RuPaul’s Drag Race and host Drag Queen Shangela performed an rousing rendition of Beyoncé’s 2013 Super Bowl Halftime show.

“It was fierce,” said sophomore Dijja Tamen. “The beginning was the closest I’ll ever get to a Beyoncé concert”.

The MTV "Jersey Shore" star, supported by Chicago rapper Rockie Fresh, played a DJ set in Goldstein Auditorium Thursday night.

Rockie Fresh and MTV star DJ Pauly D’s dance party distracted students from the snowfall outside Thursday night at Goldstein Auditorium in Schine Student Center.

The event, sponsored by student programming board University Union, began an hour and 15 minutes behind schedule, as Rockie Fresh faced inclement weather on his way to Syracuse.

The first eager group of students in line were friends Molly Quinn, a music industry senior; April Woltersdorf, a music education junior; and Hannah Smith, an illustration...

To get inside The Elevated Underground, you must first climb up over 20 steps toward a bright blue door, then duck down once you’re in. Next door to a park on the corner of West Onondaga Street and South Geddes Street in a quiet residential area on the Westside lies Syracuse’s best-kept music secret.

“You wouldn’t know it now, but it used to be a horror scene down here,” Dusten Blake, 25, owner of The Elevated Underground, said.

Review: On Wednesday night, the Cincinnati-based indie-rockers played to an ecstatic audience in an environment much more intimate than the ones they've grown used to.

If the guys of Walk the Moon live life the way they play music, they are probably surrounded by dancing at all times.

The indie-rock band took to the Schine Underground for University Union’s second Bandersnatch Music Series show of the fall semester in an event Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. Even during the band’s slower songs it was impossible for audience members to stand still. There’s no wondering why the chorus of Walk the Moon’s crowd pleaser "Lisa Baby" boasts “my baby is a dancing queen.”
