The Syracuse men's basketball team will travel north to play four exhibition games against Canadian Universities in August.

The men's basketball team will be heading north to play exhibition games in Canada. The NCAA allows teams to go on foreign tours once every four years and the Orange are using this opportunity to visit Canada August 20th through the 25th.

The trip will be a homecoming for incoming freshman Tyler Ennis. The point guard is a native of Brammpton, Ontario, and a member of the Canadian under-19 team that will be competing in the 2013 FIBA Under-19 World Championship.

Sophomore forward Jerami Grant was named to the roster of this year's USA Men's U19 team, which will compete in the World Championship at the end of June.

Jerami Grant was one of 12 athletes named to the 2013 USA Men's U19 World Championship team roster.

Grant made the cut after being named one of 26 finalists for the team led by University of Florida head coach Billy Donovan and assistants Tony Bennett of Virginia and Shaka Smart of Virginia Commonwealth. Grant is joined by Montrezl Harrell of the national champion Louisville Cardinals and Rasheed Sulaimon of the soon-to-be conference rival Duke Blue Devils, among others.

Less than 24 hours before Syracuse faces Duke in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Division 1 National Championship, head coach John Desko and a few players talk to the media.

On Saturday, a Derek Maltz rebound goal capped a comeback that sent the Orange to the national championship game.

Dylan Donahue's goal with 13 seconds remaining lifted the Orange past Yale and into its 27th NCAA Tournament semifinal.

After finishing the season with eight straight one-goal games, the Syracuse men's lacrosse team entered Saturday's contest against Ivy League tournament champion Yale confident in its ability to win close.

That experience paid off, and it landed the Orange in familiar territory.

After a 13-3 overall record, Big East regular season co-championship and conference tournament title, Syracuse will face NEC champ Bryant in the first round of the NCAA men's lacrosse tournament on Sunday, May 12 at the Carrier Dome.

After being crowned co-champions of the final Big East men's lacrosse regular season and cruising to a conference tournament title, the Syracuse men's lacrosse team was rewarded with the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Orange (13-3) will face Northeast Conference champ Bryant (8-10) on Sunday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

After not being selected in this years draft, three more Syracuse players signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents.

As the NFL draft came to a close this weekend, many colleges players were left undrafted, including SU players Alec Lemon, Deon Goggins, Zach Chibane and Marcus Sales. But even though these players didn't hear their name called or receive of phone call from an NFL team, a few of them signed this weekend as undrafted free agents.

While it was speculated that Ryan Nassib would get drafted in first round, it was Justin Pugh who hear his name called on day one, while Nassib and Shamarko Thomas waited until the fourth round.

Ryan Nassib, Justin Pugh and Shamarko Thomas finally had their NFL aspirations fulfilled during the 2013 NFL Draft. The three catalysts that propelled the Syracuse Orange to an 8-5 season have landed with two of the more successful franchises in the league today.

Fair announces he will return for his senior year instead of declaring for the NBA draft.

It looks like the Syracuse basketball team won’t be losing a fourth starter to graduation and the NBA. CJ Fair decided Wednesday to stay for his senior year at Syracuse, according to SU Athletics.

“After talking it over with my family and my coaches, I decided another year at Syracuse was best for me,” said Fair. “I'm excited about working hard with my teammates to put together another great season and graduating has also been a goal of mine.”
