Maggie Gilroy

Maggie Gilroy is a graduate student in the Goldring Arts Journalism program from Binghamton, New York. She is a freelance journalist whose work has appeared in The Press & Sun Bulletin, The Ithaca Journal, The Elmira Star-Gazette, The Bradenton Herald and the Syracuse Post-Standard. Her focus is in writing about the theatre and she is currently the dramaturgical intern for Syracuse Stage.

Maggie is a 2015 graduate of SUNY Fredonia with a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts and journalism. She was the Editor in Chief of Fredonia’s only student-run campus news publication, The Leader, and led the most recent re-design of the print edition. Maggie has interviewed personalities including country singer Kellie Pickler, World Champion Eater Joey Chestnut, American Idol finalist SamWoolf and Broadway actress Bradley Benjamin.
