An interactive runway experience dazzled the crowd at the Syracuse Fashion Week Gala.
Pushing theatrics to the brink, the Syracuse Fashion Week Gala at The Landmark Theatre on Friday night was a cross-section of styles both on and off the runway.
Syracuse Fashion Week founder and theater maven Lisa Marie Butler gave designers and boutiques the freedom to make their time on the runway an interactive performance for the audience.
Day 2 of Syracuse Fashion Week presented, "It's a Mod, Mod World," showcasing new age designs.

The fifth annual BLOWOUT fantasy hairstyle fundraiser show entertained crowds at the Landmark Theatre on Sunday.
The theme of the BLOWOUT 2016 show was, “Once Upon a Time”. The competition mimicked a party where characters from various fairy tales such as The Little Red Riding Hood and Pinocchio gathered together on stage.
“It is great for the salons to bring people out and show their creativity as a community event,” said Karin Leary, the assistant at BLOWOUT 2016. Leary said the event is a fundraiser for ACR Health and the Q Center.
Facing the forces of nature in style has never been easier with this makeup routine.

Vaniah Montanez, a makeup artist for the Italian-based Flormar cosmetic brand in Destiny USA, provides simple steps on how to secure makeup just in time to face the onslaught of holiday parties.
Students clean out their closets and trade clothes at the Style Lottery Closet Swap.
Students recycled their wardrobes at the Style Lottery Closet Swap on Monday evening.
The closet swap is comparable to the thrifting experience, since the items gathered are gently used clothing, shoes and accessories from event participants. Junior psychology major Tauri Howard is a brand ambassador for Style Lottery, and she was part of the team who organized the event.
“I went with the idea that the swap would be a one-for-one kind of thing, but I ended up leaving with more than I brought in,” Howard said.
The Halloween spirit is in the air with Syracuse Fashion Week's third Snarl fashion show.
It’s not every day that a fashion show opens with little Danny Torrance wheeling down the runway on his iconic tricycle, only to be met by—you guessed it—those ghostly Grady twins and a most unsettling invitation to “come play.”
But this scene from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining did in fact unfold on a cobweb-covered catwalk in Syracuse’s historic Landmark Theatre on Saturday, for the third Syracuse Snarl fashion event.
