The organization looks to bring the community together to empower those affected by cancer.

On Saturday, SU senior Claire Greenbaum along hosted a F**k Cancer event raising over $10,000 to go towards cancer research with her friends. The Greenbaum family started the F**k Cancer organization in 2010, after losing their mother to ovarian cancer. Claire, has been a part of the organization since the age of 14. The organization is active in the United States and in Canada, where Greenbaum is from.

Stylish shoppers and fashion mavens enjoy a fairy tale fashion show at the While You Were Sleeping event on Sunday to benefit Syracuse City Ballet.

Syracuse’s most stylish and best dressed residents convened downtown on Sunday for “While You Were Sleeping,” a local fashion, shopping and fundraising event.

The event was a collaboration between Syracuse City Ballet (SCB) and Kellie Gingold, the owner of Showoffs Boutique and the main coordinator of While You Were Sleeping.

The snow didn't stop those with a sweet tooth from going to A Taste of Chocolate at the Columbian Presbyterian Church in LaFayette on Saturday.

Chocolate is one of the few things that could get 100 people out to Columbian Presbyterian Church during a Saturday snowstorm.

Tom Redmore, an elder at Columbian Presbyterian Church in LaFayette, started A Taste of Chocolate six years ago after trying to come up with a new fundraising idea and seeing how much money people spent on Valentine’s Day every year.

The annual Empty Bowls fundraiser produces 600 ceramic bowls sold at $20 a piece to benefit the Interreligious Food Consortium of Syracuse, N.Y.

Syracuse University students, as well as members of Clayscapes Pottery, Inc., supplied the event with bowls made out of clay donated from Clayscapes Pottery, Inc. "Last year the event brought in close to a thousand people and made over $21,000," said Don Seymour, owner of Clayscapes Pottery, Inc.

Fundraising efforts for OttoTHON will begin February 28th at 6pm in the Women's Building and last until 6am March 1st, benefitting Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.

The Syracuse University community will come together to participate in OttoTHON, SU’s first ever dance marathon, in hopes of raising more than $105,000 to benefit the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.

Jillian Lynch, a sophomore and the executive director for OttoTHON, has been planning this event since she came to Syracuse. She was involved in similar dance marathons during high school and wanted to start one at Syracuse.

With four days left there is still time to participate in Relay for Life

In four days the Carrier Dome will become one giant sleepover.  From 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on April 10 the American Cancer Society and Syracuse University will partner for the annual Relay for Life.  This year's Relay will feature a Mr. & Mrs.

CNY Jazz Central and Rarely Done Productions are teaming up to raise money for the Jazz Central facilities.

CNY Jazz Central is celebrating its 14th season in operation with a “Broadway Cabaret” season opener planned for this Sunday, October 4. The event is a fundraiser to maintain the Jazz Central facility, which has been home to the foundation for four years.
