Back in action

Jake Shipley made his collegiate debut for the Denver Pioneers on Feb. 20, taking on the top-ranked Syracuse Orange.

Alec and Nancy Shipley watched their son rejoin his Denver teammates in the Carrier Dome on Feb. 20, when he played for the first time since being injured last year. Visiting Denver took on the Syracuse Orange in Shipley's debut.

Freshman Jake Shipley (Midfield, #44), tore his ACL during his senior year at St. Paul's School in Whitehall, Md., and could not compete during his high school team’s championship game.

With Jake now recovered, the Shipleys said they are simply proud to see their son playing again -- this time for a top NCAA division I lacrosse program.
