Looking back on her transition onto reality TV, Iaconetti said many of the things she learned from the Newhouse School helped her along the way.

Since her days as a multimedia journalist for Syracuse University's NCC News, 26-year-old Virginia native Ashley Iaconetti has made quite a few different names for herself while being on "The Bachelor:" the virgin, the crier, and self-proclaimed “Kardashley.” But despite the tears and drama, Iaconetti said being on "The Bachelor" was the "best experience of her life."

Review: The indie rockers put on a powerhouse performance blending classic hits and new music.

The New Pornographers rocked the State Theatre of Ithaca on Tuesday night, and fewer than 200 people were there to see it.

To my surprise, the Theatre was nowhere near full. I got to the venue 30 minutes before the show, which was general admission, even started and still managed to get seats in the fourth row.

But, the show deserved a far greater turnout than it received.

Led by the performance of Ben Williams, the Orange (1-0) won 25 out of 30 faceoffs en route to a 21-7 victory over Siena (0-1) in the Carrier Dome. Williams finished 17 for 20 for an 85-percent clip at the X.

Review: 'In the Next Room, or the vibrator play' a 'must see' for anyone interested in women’s sexuality or life during the Victorian Era, will run through Feb. 15 at the Syracuse Stage.

In the Next Room, or the vibrator play was written by Sarah Ruhl to depict a multi-faceted look into family life in the Victorian Era.

Hardly uncomfortable by nature, the play was funny, poignant and shockingly accurate, as it worked through the trials and triumphs of identifying sexual pleasure at a time when sexuality was anything but.

Set in a spa town in the late 19th century, the play had one setting, the interior of an upper middle class Victorian home, next to the small doctor’s working space known as “the next room.”

A local Syracuse man rebuilt his taxi and offers people like SU coach Jim Boeheim rides.

A row of antique yellow-checkered taxicabs lined the road of Brooklyn’s dilapidated Box Street in June. The vehicles stood out with vivid hues on a street populated by warehouses. While this Checker Car Club of America’s annual convention might seem an oddity for most New Yorkers, it’s a tradition for 53-year-old Syracuse resident Phillip Arnold.
