This is in addition to the 15 players Coach Dino Babers signed in December.
Syracuse football head coach Dino Babers announced Wednesday the signing of three new student-athletes to the 2018 class.
This is the second signing day, with the first happening in December; a new format for college football.
"Having two signing days may be a little anti-climatic, but we still had to finish out a nice class," Babers said.
The process was a lot quicker than in previous years with the earlier signing period. Babers used some time to credit his staff with their work in getting the players.
Highlighted by four-star quarterback DeVito, Orange adds 24 new players to its roster.
National Signing Day 2017 took place around the country on Wednesday and Syracuse was no exception.
Some refer to the day as Christmas Eve, because there is so much to look forward to and following all of the Orange's prospects signing, SU head coach Dino Babers thanked his team for the way they helped to recruit this year’s class.
“When I think about the 2017 recruiting class I think about the 2017 football team,” he said.
Four years and 28 players later Doug Marrone has brought a New York flavor back to Syracuse football, but there is still room to grow
It’s important to Doug Marrone. That much is clear.
When Marrone accepted the head-coaching job at Syracuse University four years ago, it was one of the first things he brought up during his inaugural press conference. On Wednesday night during the SU football national letter of intent signing day press conference the topic came up again.
“We are not changing our stance on how we feel about the state of New York,” Marrone said. “We have to be able to get the best players out of this state before we can go to another state and try to get one of their best players.”
