Then, finally, the confused, manic outrage:

"What are we gonna do? How will they save Mayfest? I'm coming down!"

The hip-hop artist and electronic music trio bring their diverse sounds to Walnut Park for daytime performances.

After Travis Scott was announced as the headliner for Block Party in the Carrier Dome, University Union announced that hip-hop artist Vic Mensa and electronic music trio Cheat Codes will perform at Mayfest.

Students celebrated the end of the school year with a passion for good music at Syracuse University's annual Carrier Dome concert.

More than 13,000 people bounced up and down for four hours at the Carrier Dome on Friday to the tunes of Jon Bellion, Chance the Rapper and The ChainsmokersFans were excited for the concert, pushing their way as close to the barrier between the stage and audience before any performer was even on stage.

Alternative musician Jon Bellion will open the annual concert, which takes place in the Carrier Dome.

Chicago hip-hop artist Chance the Rapper and DJ/producer duo The Chainsmokers will be performing at Block Party 2016, University Union announced in a press release Sunday night. The concert, which will be opened by alternative artist Jon Bellion, takes place on April 29.

Though some students were discouraged by the cold and the performers, crowds still filled Walnut Park for the annual event.

Four boys stood in the packed parking lot next to Castle Court, squinting through the falling snowflakes as they looked up at their fists, each clutching a Keystone Light.

A small crowd formed around them as they held their fists high.

“Three!” one of the boys yelled, starting the countdown. “Two, one … NOW!”

Joining the artist born Curtis Jackson for the annual concert in the Carrier Dome are co-headliners G-Unit and Kygo, and hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd.

It's that time of the year again for University Union's Block Party, and headlining the end-of-the-year concert on Friday, April 24, is 50 Cent with co-headliners G-Unit and Kygo.

50 Cent, one of the most successful rappers in the past decade, has sold more than 22 million albums worldwide and received 13 Grammy nominations during his career.

University Union will host its annual Mayfest event on April 24, 2015 in Walnut Park from 1-6 p.m.

University Union announced this year’s line up for Mayfest, which will feature electro-pop duo The Knocks as headliners with rapper Skizzy Mars as direct support, and pop artist VÉRITÉ as the opener.

Joining 50 Cent are co-headliner Kygo and hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd.

One of the most successful rappers in history, 50 Cent has sold more than 22 million albums worldwide and received 13 Grammy nominations during his career. He's the CEO of G-Unit records, which houses Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks, among other artists.

Though it may not feel like it with temperatures still wavering below freezing, spring is on its way and we 'Cuse students are scrambling to get prepared. Spring in Syracuse is a wonderful thing, and not just because it means that we can finally walk to class sans parkas. In the final months of the school year we see tons of fun, outdoor events. From day parties to Mayfest, there are plenty of socially-driven events coming up that we will want to look our best for.
