GSO proposes resolution to make SU a sanctuary campus

Syracuse University is joining the national conversation about protecting DACA students.

After working with English Second Language (ESL) community members in San Francisco, immigration has been on Walter Donner’s mind. Following President-elect Donald Trump's win and his comments about deporting millions of immigrants who are in the country illegally, Donner knew he had to take action.

R1 designation highlights consistent research

A prestigious recognition listed SU as a top-tier research university — however, research faculty members and graduate students already saw the school as one.

Back in February, Syracuse University media created a small explosion of excitement when the school received an award for its level of research excellence.

Tuition increases 3.5 percent for next academic year

It is the lowest increase of tuition for the university in 49 years.

The Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees approved the administration's financial proposals, including undergraduate tuition and room and board, according to the university.

The tuition for the 2015-2016 school year will be $41,794, which is a 3.5 percent increase from last year's tuition. The increase represents the smallest tuition increase for the university in 49 years.
