Saturday, Oct. 1: Rubblebucket is an indie/afro-beat band that hails from Brooklyn, New York (check out their new song, Silly Fathers, here). They’ll be playing at the Westcott Theater at 8 p.m. as part of their Omega La La Fall tour. The show will also feature ‘Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt’ and ‘Sports’. Tickets are available here.
Tuesday, Oct. 4: Mt. Eden, a band comprised of two Dubstep producers from New Zealand, will be appearing at the Westcott Theater at 8 p.m. Syncronice will be the opening act. Tickets are available here.
Thursday, Oct. 6: The Dean’s List, a trio hailing from Boston, Mass., and hip-hop artist OnCue will both be performing at the Westcott Theater as part of Nue Music and Good Music All Day’s Pledge to Rage tour. Gilbere Forte will be appearing as a special guest, as well as Apache Chief and Guy Harrison. Tickets are available here.
Tuesday, Oct. 11: Dubstep/electro artist Sonny Moore, aka Skrillex, will be performing at the New York State fairgrounds as part of his fall tour. The show will also include appearances from 12th Planet, Two Fresh and Nadastrom. Tickets are available here. Friday, Oct. 14: The Polar Bear Club is a rock band originally from Syracuse that has gone on tour with August Burns Red and Silverstein. They will be playing at The Lost Horizon in celebration of their new album. Playing alongside them will be rock bands Balance and Composure, Fireworks, Summer People and Such Gold. Wednesday, Oct. 19: The rock band The Goo Goo Dolls – most known for their song Iris – will be playing at the State Theater of Ithaca in Ithaca, N.Y. For tickets, click here.
Thursday, Oct. 20: Electronic band Eoto will be playing at the Westcott Theater. The show will also feature an opening from Syracuse’s own funk band, Sophistafunk. For tickets, click here.
Wednesday, Oct. 26: Punk band New Found Glory will be making its comeback at The Lost Horizon after 11 years, as part of their Pop Punk’s Not Dead Tour. The show, which the Lost Horizon is calling “one of the best [they]’ve ever produced,” will also include performances from punk/rock bands Man Overboard, Set Your Goals, The Wonder Years, and This Time Next Year. Monday, Oct. 31: To wrap up the month, Westcott Theater is hosting its annual Halloween Extravaganza, and this years’ featured artist will be Dubstep DJ/producer Datsik. Breakbeat/House DJ Mikey Parkay will also be performing. Other special guests include Pacman and Syracuse’s Silas Maximus. Tickets are available here.
