Magic Man and Panama Wedding to headline University Union's first Bandersnatch concert of the semester

University Union announced today the concert will take place on March 4th at 8pm in Syracuse University's Schine Underground.

University Union's Bandersnatch concert series is known for bringing big names like Cash Cash and Trippy Turtle to Syracuse University and this semester will be no different.

Alternative rock band Magic Man will headline University Union’s first concert of the spring semester’s Bandersnatch Concert Series, with indie artist Panama Wedding performing as direct support and a special guest yet to be announced.

With their debut single “Paris” now a staple on alternative radio, Magic Man’s music at its best creates a sense of weightless promise. Album standouts like “Waves” and “Catherine” are effortless, epic and delivered without pretense, and the band’s full-length debut Before The Waves is built on a rare mix of innocence and experience. It serves as something of a statement of intent for the band: they’re here to keep doing this, turning every show into something singular, reckless, comfortable, and real.

Panama Wedding has quickly established itself as one of the most promising indie artists of the year with "All Of The People," a deliriously joyful pop single that has been hailed by music outlets around the globe and has earned over 400,000 plays on Soundcloud. After a string of acclaimed sold-out performances during the CMJ Music Marathon in fall 2013, Panama Wedding finalized a deal with Glassnote Records, aligning Peter Kirk, the New York-based mastermind behind Panama Wedding, with the company behind best-selling artists like Mumford & Sons, Phoenix and CHVRCHES. Kirk has previewed Panama Wedding's debut EP during sold-out performances opening for artists like St. Lucia and HAERTS.

Tickets for the show will go on sale at the Schine Box Office this Monday, February 16th, for $5 and will be available to all Syracuse and SUNY ESF students. A valid college ID is required to purchase a ticket as well as to gain entry to the venue. Doors for this event will open at 8:00 PM and music will follow shortly after.
