What do you get when you mix a great campus, amazing band and kick-ass ticket price together?
You can find out Tuesday night at the Schine Underground.
University Union is bringing to campus The Academy Is... with special guests Hot Chelle Rae and Fazeshift.
You might know The Academy Is..., a pop-punk/alternative band hailing from Chicago, from the single, "We've Got a Big Mess on Our Hands," a few years ago.
In case you didn't buy your tickets yet, here are three reasons why you should:
1) The Academy Is... isn't you average mediocre scene band that usually tours campuses. This band is coming to you from label Fueled by Ramen, which has unleashed some of the best alternative bands of our days such as Jimmy Eat World, Yellowcard and Less Than Jake. So if labelmates are any indication, The Academy Is ... actually has some talent.
2) This might be one of the last chances to catch The Academy Is ... live for awhile. According to this Metro News article, the band is taking a break for a bit. So catch them now!
3) It's only six bucks for SU and SUNY/ESF students! This is my favorite reason. When else are you going to be able to see a show for the price of breakfast at Starbucks?
So buy your tickets at the Schine Box Office and spend your Tuesday night hanging with The Academy Is...
