Shayna Meliker

Shayna Meliker is a senior newspaper and online journalism and Spanish major at Syracuse University.

She worked this summer as a reporting intern at The Virginian-Pilot newspaper. She has also held internships with The Baltimore Sun, The Baltimore Examiner and the Newseum, a news museum in Washington, D.C.

Born and raised in Ellicott City, Md., Shayna served as the news editor of The Daily Orange from October 2008 to May 2009. She spent the Spring 2010 semester studying in Madrid.
