Matthew Ehalt

Matthew Ehalt is a senior newspaper major in the S.I. Newhouse school of Public Communications.

He has written for The Associated Press, the New York Daily News, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Connecticut Post, among other outlets. He interned this past summer at the New York Daily News.

At Syracuse, he has covered six different teams for the student paper, The Daily Orange, including the 2009 NCAA Champion men's lacrosse team. This year, he covered the football team and is currently a beat writer for the men's basketball team.

A native of Shelton, Conn., he enjoys watching sports, preferably baseball and football, and roots for New York teams.
