Mallory Passuite

Mallory Passuite is a senior magazine journalism major at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She is originally from Lockport, New York.

Her NewsHouse story, The Denim Evolution, won second place for the Society of Professional Journalists 2009 Mark of Excellence Award in the category of Online Feature Reporting for Region 1.

In addition to the NewsHouse, Mallory also currently works as an online fashion columnist for jerk magazine and as proofreader for 360 Degrees Magazine.

She spent the spring 2009 semester studying in Madrid, where she improved her Spanish speaking and contributed to Mesanjero Madrid.

She has worked at the retail store Tony Walker & Co. in Wiliamsville, New York as a fashion consultant for the past four years, and has interned in the editorial department at ARTVOICE, Buffalo's #1 newsweekly.
