Kate Capodanno

As an aspiring multimedia journalist Kate thinks of herself as a storyteller. She hopes to be able to continue use her curiosity to develop meaningful stories that not only entertain but uncover the truth and digest complex information. 

She understands that in this digital world it has become increasingly important to be able to communicate on different media platforms. In order to grow as a storyteller Kate is currently a reporter for several different news media outlets at Syracuse University. She works as a reporter for the Daily Orange, CitrusTV Noticias and Orange Zest.

Kate all thinks it is important for journalists to recognize that the people with newsworthy stories do not always speak English. Therefore, she has been working diligently to become fluent in Spanish and in 2015 she spent six months in Chile, studying and interning for a local NGO.
