Eva McKend

Eva McKend is a master's candidate at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in the school's Broadcast and Digital Journalism program. Originally from New York City, she attended college in Pennsylvania where she majored in English Literature and minored in Black Studies and Religion at Swarthmore College.

Eva has written professionally for Essence, Clutch and MS. magazines.  She's freelanced for Soledad O’Brien's morning show Starting Point on CNN and interned at NBC Philadelphia. 

Eva is a pop culture enthusiast, a sucker for well-written television dramas and appreciates good music.
