David Suntup

David Suntup is currently a sophomore Broadcast Digital Journalism major at Syracuse University. My love and passion for sports broadcasting has led to my involvement at Z89, CitrusTV, and WAER.  I'm the Sports Director at Z89 and an analyst on 'Cuse Countdown, the best Syracuse sports pregame show in the Central New York area. I'll also be calling games for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League this summer.

I started my broadcasting career at Wayne Hills High School in Wayne, NJ, where I did play-by-play for football, basketball, ice hockey, field hockey, soccer, and lacrosse. I called two football state championship games at Giants Stadium, and one at Rutgers Stadium. I also did play-by-play for the Jersey Pilots of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League during the 2008 season. In addition to those experiences, I attended the Bruce Beck and Ian Eagle Sports Broadcasting Camp for three years from 2004-2006, and I volunteered there in 2009.
