Andrew Meola

Andrew Meola is a senior newspaper major at Syracuse University from Brooklyn, N.Y. He is currently an enterprise writer for The Daily Orange, where he has worked for the last two years. He has covered women’s tennis and men’s soccer as a beat writer.

Last summer, Andrew interned at the Naples Daily News in Naples, Fl., where he now lives. He covered a variety of local sporting events from golf tournaments to high school football games to softball tournaments. He even interviewed and wrote stories on the descendants of two famous baseball players, Red Schoendienst and Neal Ball.

Andrew hopes to become a sportswriter after college, and his dream job is to cover any of the major sports teams in New York City. In his spare time, he likes watching sports and TV, listening to music, passing time with friends, and beating his roommates at video games.
