Avery Hartmans

Avery Hartmans is a student at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, majoring in newspaper & online journalism and minoring in English & textual studies.

She has worked as an intern for Buffalo.com at The Buffalo News, as well as WIVB/WNLO television station, a CBS/CW23 affiliate located in Buffalo, N.Y. Avery also worked as an assistant copy editor for SU's student-run newspaper, The Daily Orange, throughout the 2012-2013 school year.

Avery currently works as freelance style advice columnist for Buffalo.com, contributing one article a week as "Ask Avery," and she also writes a weekly column, "Beer Bites," for The Daily Orange. She also acts as the Social Media Lead Producer for The NewsHouse.
