Raised on a dairy farm in Williamsport, PA, Amanda happily left the countryside to attend the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating with a B.A. in film studies, she went off to live the glamorous life of a struggling writer.
After working as an A&E intern at The Pittsburgh City Paper, a 3 year stint performingsketch comedy, and contributing to sites like Pop Damage, she decided it was time for a Masters degree. She is currently enrolled in the graduate program for Arts Journalism at the Newhouse School.
