Ashley Kang

Ashley is director of The Stand, a publication and website for Syracuse's South Side community She is the main point person for interested contributors and works to coordinate all content plus serve as the site’s main blogger. Ashley hopes to find many people from the community who are interested in contributing to the project and is impressed with the number of community residents who have showed interest so far.

She graduated from SU in 2004 with a magazine journalism degree. She is currently working towards obtaining a master’s degree in higher education in SU’s School of Education and in the process of pursuing research with SU Professor Marcelle Haddix on community educators.
