Mayfest 2014: Festival Fashion

Wildflowers out there, rejoice!

Festival fashion is a trend that bloomed in music festival season and has influenced spring season trends in brands such as Free People, Express, H&M and Forever 21 with florals and tribals, and the start of new hot trends.

Similarly, wildflowers are the young, fashionable, creative groups of women who love festivals of any and all kinds. The name is a metaphor for the independent feminine bohemian soul.

Much like wildflowers that grow free in the fields, these fashionistas bloom in the festival fields -- and this video is a testament to these dirty festival-darlings who love to stay fresh as they break a sweat for music; and do so with style.

The ‘Cusechella of Syracuse University, Mayfest, is the biggest party of the year. The new wildflower trend, that started out as a simple DIY crown comprised of artificial flowers, is now being spotted in all kinds of festivals.

This bohemian goddess accessory brings a fantasy element that festivals -- ranging from Burning man to EDM -- can enjoy. The headpiece can range from hippy feathers to the most popular, a crown of artificial flowers.

Wildflowers out there, rejoice!
