To kick off Orange Central weekend at Syracuse University, Tony-award winning actor Brian Dennehy presented pieces from Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman and Eugene O’Neill’s Hughie, and he even sang a song from Guys and Dolls for visiting alumni.
On Oct. 4, An Evening with Brian Dennehy nearly filled the Hergenhan Auditorium in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with alumni and students, excited to relive moments of Dennehy’s finest acting. In an interview with Syracuse Stage’s Timothy Bond, Dennehy discussed his career and the importance of theater laced with his cynical nature and sarcastic sense of humor.
Dennehy is best known for his Tony-award winning roles in Death of a Salesman and O'Neill's Long Days Journey Into Night. He has also starred in multiple films, including his popular role as Chris Farley’s dad in Tommy Boy.
