Actor Brian Dennehy spends evening at Syracuse

Video: The veteran actor sat down with The NewsHouse before his lecture and performance in the Hergenhan Auditorium to discuss his career and the state of the acting industry.

To kick off Orange Central weekend at Syracuse University, Tony-award winning actor Brian Dennehy presented pieces from Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman and Eugene O’Neill’s Hughie, and he even sang a song from Guys and Dolls for visiting alumni.

On Oct. 4, An Evening with Brian Dennehy nearly filled the Hergenhan Auditorium in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with alumni and students, excited to relive moments of Dennehy’s finest acting. In an interview with Syracuse Stage’s Timothy Bond, Dennehy discussed his career and the importance of theater laced with his cynical nature and sarcastic sense of humor.
