Win streak snapped, women's lacrosse falls to 5-7

Orange falls to Georgetown, winning streak stopped at two games.

The No. 13 Syracuse University women’s lacrosse team fell to 5-7 (3-1 Big East) after a 12-8 loss to the No. 20 Georgetown University Hoyas Saturday at Washington, D.C. The loss snapped S.U.’s two-game win streak.

The Orange came out firing in the first half, scoring seven goals and only giving up five. Catherine Rodriguez, Sarah Holden, Alyssa Murray and Tee Ladouceur all scored for the Orange. However, the lead wouldn’t last long after the start of the second half.

Eileen Finn remembers telling her Syracuse University women’s lacrosse teammates about Twitter in the training room one day.

“We had a half hour conversation," Finn said, "and the next day I think three people had it."
