The Setnor School of Music welcomed percussionist and Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche Thursday night as part of their guest artist series.

Wilco drummer and composer Glenn Kotche powered through one technical difficulty after another to perform an eclectic batch of percussion-based numbers Thursday night in Setnor Auditorium.

The multi-talented percussionist will collaborate with the Percussion Ensemble at the Setnor School of Music on Thursday March 7.

Glenn Kotche has worked on over 90 albums over the course of his career, yet he feels like he’s just scratched the surface of what there is to do as a percussionist.

Middle-age dudes defy everything, time included.

The first four-and-a-half minutes of The Whole Love are terrifying.

It’s not a Linda Blair spewing vomit sort of situation but more a my-dad-might-dig-this brand of horror. Images of Darius Rucker populate the mind as the opening track “Art of Almost” drags on. Then, Nels Cline steps on the overdrive and complacency becomes alacrity.
