The two Southern rappers will co-headline University Union's inaugural winter concert at the Carrier Dome.

Rappers Ludacris and Rick Ross will co-headline its Rock The Dome concert, held in the Carrier Dome on Feb. 2, University Union announced Wednesday.

The two popular Southern rappers are the first headliners for the inaugural event, a new large-scale concert in addition to the springtime Block Party.

Rising hip-hop star Big Sean, electrified the jam-packed Schine Underground as 350 Syracuse University students flocked to hear him perform Wednesday night. 

As the youngest member of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. music group, Big Sean has been steadily building momentum within the industry. SU’s enthusiastic student response to Wednesday night’s show provided more evidence that he could be on the brink of stardom.

The controversy surrounding graduation speaker Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, is generating so much buzz you could write a song about it. That's what one SU student rapper did.

Busting rhymes along Marshall Street and in front of the Hall of Languages, Delirium puts a lyrical spin on commencement. Check out the video below.

Jadakiss brings energy and a good vibe to his Goldstein concert.

Decked in all Syracuse apparel, hip-hop heavyweight Jadakiss proclaimed his admiration for our school during his concert at Goldstein Auditorium last Friday.

Billing himself “An Orange at heart," Jadakiss shared his dissapointment that the men’s basketball team lost to Butler in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA basketball tournament.

Clearly, one of the most recognizable hip-hop artists out today knew how to connect to his crowd.

Common free-styled his way into the room, and into the hearts of Syracuse University students Tuesday night at Hendricks Chapel with a motivational speech and impromptu raps.

Common asked a member of the audience to choose any word for him to freestyle about. He began a freestyle rap stemming from the word “heaven,” and it somehow evolved to include Otto, Jim Boeheim, Wes Johnson, Acropolis, Marshall Street, and ‘Melo.

I was flipping through some of my HD music channels this afternoon and thought I missed the most unique mainstream collaboration in quite some time. Turns out T-Pain and "T-Swizzle" recorded this track ("Thug Story") back in the early summer for the CMT Music Awards. It still merits a viewing even today however...

Meet some of the hottest B-boys on Syracuse University's campus. Wanna learn how to be a B-boy or B-girl, too? Watch for a "how-to" move that will have all your friends ooh-ing and ahh-ing.

From the graffiti-scribbled dark alleys within the streets of the Bronx to college campuses nationwide, the art of break dance has become a popular trend among aspiring b-boys and b-girls nationwide.

On Syracuse University's campus, one break dancing group called the "Beat Munchers", comprised of about 15 to 20 b-boys and b-girls, practice this form of dance with a fiery passion. They have competed against other break dance crews at other New York schools such as Rochester Institute of Technology and State University of New York at Oswego.
