Syracuse took down Providence Saturday in the Carrier Dome 10-9.

The No. 17 Syracuse Orange (5-4) picked up a win Saturday against the No. 11 Princeton Tigers (6-3) in front of a home crowd at the Carrier Dome. The Orange scored 4 unanswered goals during a decisive third quarter to win its first game in over two weeks.

"It was a very good win for us," coach John Desko said. "We're gonna enjoy it for the next ten minutes here and then get ready for the (Cornell) Big Red on Tuesday."

The Syracuse track and field team competed in multiple competitions this past weekend, performing well in both. Multiple Orange athletes qualified for the Big East championships, as well as other post-season competitions.

The Syracuse University track and field team faired well in their return to the tri-state area this past weekend at the Cornell Upstate Challenge in Ithaca, N.Y. and the Larry Ellis Memorial Invitational in Princeton, N.J.

At Cornell, the men’s and women’s team finished fifth and fourth, respectively, while many SU competitors qualified for the Big East, ECAC, and IC4A championships later in the season at both venues.

SU's lacrosse team handily beats Princeton 13-4 Saturday at the first-ever event at New Meadowlands Stadium.

Led by senior Cody Jamieson, who had four goals and one assist on the night, the Orange controlled the game and scored at will on Princeton. The Tigers played a cautious defensive game and it cost them, as shooting lanes opened up regularly and Syracuse was able to capitalize on nearly every opportunity.

Review: Syracuse's indie rocker plays an intimate and energetic show at Castaways in Ithaca.

It felt like they never left, but no one was complaining about musical deja vu.

Lead singer Wes Miles called it their, "first show of their last tour of the first album" throughout the night, and Ra Ra Riot reminded fans and friends why they became nearly instant campus heroes at SU not long ago.
