Syracuse Style fashion show entertains crowds at fifth annual event

The fashion week vibe is in the air as designers and enthusiasts get together for the Syracuse Style fashion show in Armory Square on Thursday.

Syracuse fashionistas swarmed Armory Square’s Walton Street on Thursday night, when the fifth annual Syracuse Style fashion show unveiled this fall’s must-have looks.

Songs for the semester's end

As a final Otto-Tune hurrah, the outgoing NewsHouse staff chose a few tracks as the soundtrack to the semester's end. Some silly and some serious, we hope these songs will get you through the last week of finals.

Watch as NewsHouse Lead Producers Megan Paolone and Ellie Wilkinson create our website's logo in pumpkin form.

At our Lead Producers' meeting on October 23, Megan Paolone and Ellie Wilkinson teamed up to take on a most formidable challenge:  Render the website's logo in spooky vegetable form. Using their superior carving abilities and apt judgements of positive and negative space, they conquered that feat with flying colors.

A strong running game and a stingy defense propel SU to a blowout victory over UConn.

In arguably the team’s strongest performance of the season, the Orange used a balanced offensive attack and constant defensive pressure on the opposing quarterback to blow out UConn, 40-10.

After a close first quarter, Syracuse scored 27 unanswered points and never looked back, taking firm control of the Big East affair.

Marching band to perform at Heisman gala

The Syracuse University Marching Band will play the fight songs from three other universities as well as the SU alma mater at the 77th Annual Heisman Memorial Trophy Gala.

About 40 section leaders from the Syracuse University “Pride of the Orange” Marching Band will share a Manhattan conference room with Vinny Testaverde, Eric Crouch and other football dynamos at Monday’s 77th Annual Heisman Memorial Trophy Gala.

Jon Gesicki, a senior trombone section leader, took his engineering final three days early so he could make the trip.

NoShavember is exactly what it sounds like. Young men everywhere refrain from shaving for the month of November. The skyrocketing popularity of the razor-free event leaves many asking the logical question: What’s the point?
