SU men's and women's basketball teams to celebrate first practice at the Carrier Dome October 14.

It's official. The 2011 AmeriCU Credit Union Midnight Madness will take place October 14 at the Carrier Dome, Syracuse announced earlier today. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the event begins at 8. The event will mark the beginning of the 2011-12 season for both the men's and women's basketball teams. Midnight Madness is the first practice of the year for both basketball teams, but the atmosphere of the event resembles more of an NBA All-Star game than a mid-season practice.
